  2. Nothing. Chowcow.com is absolutely FREE to use for everyone.

  3. What does it cost to post a listing on Chowcow.com?

  4. Nothing. At this time, all listings are FREE to post. In the near future, we will be charging a nominal fee for the JOBS section only.

  5. Can I include pictures with my listing?

  6. YES. Currently we allow you to post up to 4 pictures with each listing FREE. In the near future, you will have an option to upgrade your listings and include additional pictures.

  7. Do I have to be a Registered User to view listings on Chowcow.com?

  8. No. Anyone can view a listing or contact a seller without Registering. However, in order to post a listing, you must be a Registered User.

  9. How do I sign up to be a Registered User?

  10. Signing up as a Registered User is very simple. Simply click on the Create Account link on the upper right hand corner of the website and fill in the information. Once you are done, click create account and our automated system will send you a verification email to complete your registration. Once you check your email and click on that verification link, you are read to start posting your ad.

  11. How do I post an ad?

  12. Once you have become a Registered User, click on "Log In" in the upper right hand corner of the website. When you log in, click on "New Listing" on the left hand navigation and fill in the blanks. When you are done creating your listing, click on "Submit Ad" and your listing will be live.

  13. Why must I become a Registered User to create a listing?

  14. We require that users who post listings on our website be Registered for several reasons:

     

    1. To allow you to use our tools and gadgets.
    2. To prevent fraudulent activity.
    3. To prevent spam and spoofing.
    4. To help prevent illegal and unlawful activity. 
    5. To protect our Users.

  15. How long will my listing remain live on Chowcow.com?

  16. Listings remain live for 45 days on Chowcow.com (except for Jobs, which remain live for 30 days only).

  17. What are the file formats or sizes for my listings?

  18. Images can be in GIF, JPEG and PNG formats only. Image sizes are limited to 2MB per image and our system will automatically resize all images to 640 pixels wide or 480 pixels high.

  19. Can I renew my expired listings?

  20. YES. When one of your listings expires, our system will send you an automated notice with a link to the expired listing. You need to Log In and do one of the following things:

     

    1. Click on "Expired Listings" in your control panel and look for the ad you want to re-list. Once you find it, click on "Re-List"; or 
    2. If you are already logged in, follow the link in your Expired Listing notice and click on "Re-List. "

  21. How do people respond to my listings?

  22. Every ad has a "Contact Lister" link that opens a contact form that users can fill out to contact you. This is to protect your private information and hinder spam.
